There are probably thousands of king penguins in this photo, taken six years ago when I was on South Georgia Island. The ones in the brown "fur coats" are last season's chicks, about to molt. Despite the fact that everyone looks exactly the same, mothers and chicks still find each other through their distinctive (to them) little squeaks... Nature is amazing!
